Current Consultations

The Council has published its Site Appraisal Toolkit which will be used to assess the suitability, availability and achievability of those sites submitted to the Council for allocation as part of the preparation of a Development Plan Document.  If you wish to submit a site for consideration please read the Toolkit and then click on the 'add comments' section.  This is an on-going piece of work.

Dorking Town Area Action Plan

On Friday 30th March 2012, the Council submitted the Dorking Town Area Action Plan (AAP) to the Secretary of State for Independent Examination. Prior to this however, the Government published its National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).  The Inspector appointed to assess the Plan has now asked that the Council gives the opportunity for further representations on the matters in the NPPF, insofar as the Dorking Town AAP.  Representations must be received by 5pm on Friday 25th May 2012.  Please click on the 'Dorking Town AAP and the NPPF Consultation' tab below for further details and to make representations.
